WHITEFACE MOUNTAIN:  4867' elevation,  20 min. from Adirondack Star Ridge.  There are the popular sites such as the awesome views from the top of Whiteface which you can access by a drive up MEMORIAL HIGHWAY - or take a tram from the ski area.
